Club Canine is located in the beautiful country mountains in Mission, BC. We have been providing high quality raw pet food since 1996. Club Canine's goal is to provide quality meats at affordable prices. Our packaging comes in convenient single servings up to bulk 4.5 kg packages for multiple dog owners. Our meats are human grade and/or hormone free.

We have developed this food for those who are committed to feeding a more natural product to their pets. Feeding the "RAW" way will, we believe, promote better health in your dogs and cats which will lead to a longer and happier life, with less food related and allergy problems.

With the Urban Carnivore, we decided we didn't want to be like other pet food companies and use industry "by-products" and we didn't want to follow the pet food industry standards by using a recipe or formulation based on nutritional assumptions or "science". Instead, we wanted to provide a diet that contained every valuable nutrient available in the neat package of a whole animal. We felt it was important that people not only feed a diet based on a variety of whole animals, but a diet that was tailored toward their dog as an individual. We wanted foods that came from naturally raised, hormone and antibiotic free sources. We wanted to know exactly what the animals we were feeding to our dogs and yours were being fed and how they were raised.

What is in our food?

Just raw natural ingredients!!!

We use chicken from inspected sources..... NOT from a rendering plant! This chicken ( comprising mainly of backs, thighs, drumsticks left from the deboning process) is then either ground ( bone-in) or left whole for those that prefer to feed whole raw meaty bones.

The ground chicken is then put into forms and frozen.

For the meat / vegetable mixes; we mix the meat with a vegetable & fruit mixture containing 70% meat and 30% veggie/fruit. We encourage you to add leftover veggies from your meals.

Our mixture:
Carrots, Celery, Apples, Yams
Dehydrated Alfalfa

The vegetables, fruit and chicken are all ground together and then frozen.

What else do we add?
In the Alpine Formulation ... Nothing! Supplementation is an individual preference and tailored to each pet. You know best what your pet requires and can then add the appropriate amount to his meal.

In the Ascension Formulation we add, organ meats, a mineral and vitamin supplement, as well as kelp, to enhance the nutrient profile....

In the Low Fiber and Small Dog we add organ meat, string beans, and remove the apples yams and alfalfa components...

Why Feed Green Tripe?
As carnivores, dogs and cats have an instinctive desire to eat nutrient-rich green tripe. They cannot convert vegetation into nutrients within their own stomach, but, when they eat tripe, they receive these nutrients from grasses and grains that have been already processed naturally by the cow's stomach system. Also present within the tripe are naturally occurring gastric juices, amino acids and other digestive enzymes not found in other pet food. These gastric juices and enzymes aid pets in digestion to efficiently utilize food for maximum nutrition. Amino acids are necessary for muscular development and other gastric juices are excellent cleaners for teeth.
